Campground FAQs
Is the campground open year round?
Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.
Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?
Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Do you allow dogs?
The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made on ReserveAmerica.com. If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. All guests are required to check in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

As racing fans celebrate one of the sportโs biggest weekends, weโre proud to spotlight our Hall of Champions residents who made Breedersโ Cup history:
โจ Roy H: Two-time Sprint winner (2017 & 2018), known for his blazing speed and big heart.
โจ Accelerate: 2018 Classic winner whose power and determination earned Eclipse Award honors.
We also remember the legends who once called the Hall of Champions home:
๐น Alysheba: 1987 Classic winner, โAmericaโs Horse.โ
๐ฅ Cigar: 1995 Classic champion and racing icon.
๐ซ Da Hoss: Two-time Mile winner (1996 & 1998) and comeback hero.

๐ ๐ This Breedersโ Cup week, weโre celebrating a story that touched hearts far beyond the racetrack. The Kentucky Horse Park is proud to honor Codyโs Wish, two-time Breedersโ Cup Dirt Mile champion and 2023 Horse of the Year, with a new monument titled โThe Bond: Two HeartsโOne Spirit.โ
Sculpted by Jocelyn Russell, the life-sized bronze captures the unforgettable moment when the young colt first lowered his head into the lap of Cody Dorman, the boy whose courage and friendship inspired the world. The design was created so that all visitors, including those in wheelchairs, can reach out and share that same connection.
As we celebrate the Breedersโ Cup, we invite you to visit the monument here at the Kentucky Horse Park and reflect on the incredible bond between a horse and a boy whose story reminds us all why we love this sport.

We`re lucky to have two two-time champions who call the Park home, Mr. Muscleman and Won The West! We also remember Staying Together, a Breeders Crown winner and beloved former Hall of Champions resident, now honored at our Memorial Walk of Champions. Visit these racing greats and their barnmates at the Hall of Champions and celebrate the spirit of the Breeders Crown all weekend long.
